Founded in 1917 as a collaborative arts network, TFAS promotes and supports arts organizations and artists throughout the Toledo region, including Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan

Initiatives

Current TFAS Initiatives include: 


  1. Creation and development of TFAS Member Artist Directory and calendar collaboration with Toledo.com .
        
  2. TFAS 100+3 Juried Members’ Exhibit, in collaboration with 20 North Gallery, October 9–December 26. More than $3,000 in awards, including a Purchase Award to acquire an outstanding artwork for the Toledo Federation of Art Societies Collection. More details in the exhibit Prospectus
        
  3. Maintenance and continual development of a permanent collection of artwork by Toledo area visual artists, started in 1948. Check out our current collection and historic exhibits.  
        
  4. Development an art leasing program based on our collection, in collaboration with the Toledo School for the Arts.
        
  5. TFAS commitment to professional development for artists with the new ProResources site and upcoming professional development opportunities and events.
